Officials from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have issued cease-and-desist notices to three branches of the renowned South Mumbai restaurant, Bademiya, for operating without proper licenses. In Thane, 25 eateries have received stop activity orders, while nearly 70 restaurants were inspected in Mumbai, and a total of 85 facilities were surveyed in Thane. The inspection of restaurants in Mumbai and across the state since August were taken up after a rat was found in a meal served at Papa Pancho da Dhaba.
